Group Investments Corp is a holding and management company. Most personal information in our care belongs to the businesses we own or manage, not to this website: tenant applications, leases, payment records, maintenance requests and similar records are collected by those businesses under their own privacy policies, such as the DeRosa Properties privacy policy. Where Group Investments Corp processes that information, it does so on behalf of the operating company and under the same policy and safeguards.
To answer inquiries, to evaluate candidates and prospective engagements, to operate and secure our systems, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (hosting, email, background screening with your consent) and where the law requires.
When we manage a property or business for a third-party owner, we handle the owner's records and the records of its residents or customers as a service provider. We use that information only to perform the engagement, apply the safeguards described here, and return or delete it as the engagement agreement requires.
Records are stored on access-controlled systems, backed up, and kept only as long as the purpose or the law requires. Our engineering group maintains the infrastructure and monitors it continuously.
We use a small number of third-party providers for hosting, email, background screening (with the candidate's consent) and property-management and payment processing within our operating businesses. Each provider is bound by contract to use information only to provide its service to us and to protect it appropriately. We do not permit providers to sell or independently use personal information.
We disclose information where a law, regulation, subpoena or court order requires it, or where disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Group Investments Corp, its businesses, residents, clients or the public.
Subject to applicable law, you may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, request deletion, or object to a particular use, by writing to [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting. For records held by an operating company, we will direct your request to that company. We respond within the time applicable law requires and in any case within thirty days. Residents of states with consumer privacy statutes have the rights those statutes provide; we will not discriminate against anyone for exercising them.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
